I’m starting a campaign. An internet campaign. But not for something as stupid as politics, no… I want to bring back a phrase from the 50’s. "getting fractured." as a euphemism for becoming intoxicated. Like so:
Friend 1: "hey, what are you up to?"
Friend 2: "getting fractured on Jack Daniels."
Say it a few times to yourself… and then join me in wondering why we ever abandoned such an interesting phrase.
I heard it last night while watching a movie I’ve never seen before… The Seven Year Itch, with Marilyn Monroe. Wasn’t a bad movie, for having been made in 1955. I’ll have to rent it and finish watching it later.
In other news, it seems the building managers are trying to make up for the fact that our A/C was out for 4 days by cranking it down to the low 60’s inside the building today… Seriously, my hands hurt it so cold in here. I think I’ll go outside and thaw out for a while.
